Uranium Bed/ Getter Technology = Environmental Protection
The reversible formation of uranium tritide (UT3) from uranium and tritium at room temperature is the key to storing large quantities of tritium in a small volume at the lowest pressure. By heating the uranium bed, helium-free tritium gas at the required pressure for the labelling reaction can be released and, after the completion of the reaction, all surplus tritium is recovered back on the uranium getter.
Discharge to the environment or conversion of the tritium gas into highly toxic HTO waste is a thing of the past due to this new technology. RC TRITEC units will greatly improve your radio and environmental protection and will reduce risks as well as tritium waste problems.
Minimal Tritium Inventory = Minimal Total Risk
All volumes are reduced to a minimum (few ml) to achieve the necessary reaction pressure using the miniumum quantity of isotope, thus minimising risk.
This technology can be used with licences allowing only small holdings of isotope.
Individual Design, Safety and Simple Maintenance
Each manifold is designed to the customer's specific needs, derived from well-approved basic layouts to guarantee successful operations. High quality, fully tritium-compatible modular components are mounted onto a panel which can afterwards be installed in a glove box or ventilated hood.
These tritium manifold systems are designed to be extended or modified whenever the requirements change. You will get a universal tool for a wide range of tritium R&D applications, also suitable for routine and production labelling work, including all gas handling and dispensing tasks. Exchange of damaged or contaminated modules can be easily performed by the user. Mixtures of T2 with H2 or D2 are easily prepared and allow low-activity tritium-labelling experiments to be performed.

As a result, we can improve the design of our manifolds in the light of newly-available synthetic methodology.
