Scintillators - Imaging using a neutron beam

In recent years, neutron imaging has proven to be a strong, competitive and promising method for material analysis, for numerous industrial applications and as a tool for various areas of university research. A major reason for this is certainly the development and application of suitable digital devices for neutron imaging in combination with scintillation plates as the backbone of the detection system. The use of scintillation plates reduces exposure times from several hours to a few seconds. It is therefore obvious that the quality of the scintillation plate directly influences the quality of the entire beamline for neutron imaging.

Cooperation with the Paul Scherrer Institute

RC Tritec AG has developed optimised scintillation plates in collaboration with the Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) in order to guarantee customers the best possible light yield with optimum resolution. The development is not yet complete, but we are constantly continuing it to fulfil the needs of our customers now and in the future.
