From methodology development to tritium labelling

24.08.2026

RC Tritec AG contributed its tritium expertise to the collaborative project "BF₂-Boracycles Enabling Selective ortho-Mono Hydrogen Isotope Labelling" by Yogesh Aher et al.

Congratulations to Dr. Yogesh Aher and all co-authors on their new work, “BF₂-Boracycles Enabling Selective ortho-Mono Hydrogen Isotope Labelling”, now available on ChemRxiv: https://doi.org/10.26434/chemrxiv.15007570/v1

The study introduces an elegant approach using stable BF₂-boracycles for selective hydrogen isotope incorporation at the ortho-position.

We are pleased that RC Tritec AG could contribute its tritium expertise to this collaborative project. The tritiation experiments were performed at our laboratories, demonstrating how specialized tritium infrastructure and hands-on radiochemistry can support the development and validation of new hydrogen isotope labelling methodologies.

A big thank you to Dr. Yogesh Aher, Henrik Sundén, Ross Jansen-van Vuuren, Ganesh Shinde, PhD, Akhil Bhardwaj and everyone involved for the excellent collaboration.

Projects like this are a great example of what can be achieved when innovative chemistry meets specialized isotope expertise.

At RC Tritec, we support academic and industrial partners with custom tritium labelling, tritiation studies and tritium-related R&D – from feasibility experiments to the preparation and characterization of tritium-labelled compounds.
