Ionising sources are used in a wide range of devices. We specialise in small beta sources for applications in beta backscattering, coating thickness and absorption measurement devices. Beta sources
Beta ray sources are used in a variety of industrial equipment: For example, they are used to measure coating thicknesses in the paper industry and to monitor air pollution with C-14 sources. RC Tritec AG manufactures beta sources with the isotopes C-14, Pm-147, Sr-90 and Tl-204 according to customer requirements.
Beta backscattering sources
Beta backscattering is used for the determination of thin organic or metallic layers on various substrates. The sources are available for the following isotopes:
C-14, Pm-147, Sr-90
Activity: 0.1 - 100 MBq / Thickness: 2 - 5 mm
Diameter of the active surface: 3- 50 mm
Point sources
We have point sources of the following isotopes available:
Pm-147, Sr-90, Tl-204
Activity: 0.5 MBq - 50 MBq / Diameter: <0.5 mm
Ring sources
Ring sources of the following isotopes are available from us:
C-14, Pm-147, Sr-90, Tl-204
Activity: 1 - 100 MBq / Diameter: on request
